Dr. Khorana was born in New Delhi, India and then raised in Toronto, Canada and now living in Atlanta, providing her the opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds. She has significant experience in providing evidence-based psychotherapy for women struggling with issues related to culture, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions and postpartum. She also has specialized training in psychological assessments/evaluations including personality, ADHD, Defense Base Act (DBA) and compensation & pension (C&P) evaluations for our nation's veterans. Dr. Khorana is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Emory School of Medicine in their Dept. of Psychiatry where she is actively involved in DEI efforts, mentorship and training.

In addition, Dr. Khorana has unique interest and expertise in providing psychological services to production companies. She has been hired by major studios and networks including ITV America, Paramount, NBC Universal and Netflix to vet participants for casting and provide on-set support for unscripted television productions including dating and competition shows, docu-series, documentaries etc.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two toddlers, going for walks with their rescue pup, trying new restaurants and catching up on all the latest reality TV shows!

Is insurance accepted?
Dr. Khorana and Afshan Lakhani are currently out-of-network providers. Many of their clients take advantage of out-of-network coverage and receive reimbursement for services. They provide the appropriate paperwork for you to submit.

The practice accepts HSA/FSA and all major credit cards.
Who can be seen?
Dr. Khorana sees individuals ages 18-60 for both evaluation/assessment and individual therapy.
She is able to provide telehealth services for testing and therapy to residents living in over 40+ states

Afshan Lakhani sees GA residents ages 6-60 for individual & couples therapy via telehealth
How long does each session take?
Therapy: the initial session takes 60 mins and subsequent sessions are typically 45 mins
​
Assessment/Evaluation: the diagnostic interview takes 60-75 minutes and the testing is completed over a period of 4-10 hours, depending on the referral question. A comprehensive report and feedback will be provided.
